Default another clunk thread....but please help!!!!

alright it started a few weeks ago and it sounded like it was coming from the rear. i figured it was swaybar endlinks or bushings and thought nothing of it at the time. but then last week it started to get worse and now it seems like it's coming from the front as well. i lifted the car up and checked everything out with no resolution. oh, and i had the car on an alignment rack so if it was the swaybar, i could tell if the bushings were bad but they look great and the end links look the same. i know most of you in this forum probably know what a bad swaybar bushing sounds like and it's truely what it sounds like. the noise occurs over moderate bumps, during a hard acceleration from a stop, and when i punch it while turning like while passing a car that's turning left and you shoot around him in the breakdown lane. oh, and while accelerating hard from a stop you can feel it in the pedals which would make me think tie rod but they're tight also. besides the feeling in the pedals thing, all the rest of the syptoms seems to point torward a swaybar problem but i wanted to talk to you guys before replacing part by part. i looked at all the bushing in the control arms too and nothing seems to be worn. i consider myself a pretty experienced person when it comes to mechanical stuff but this one is baffling me...... please help before i go crazy!

i have also had it checked out by 2 different shops, both of which were personal friends of mine and both had no answer for me. it's an 04' so going to the dealer is not an option neither and it only has 40k which would make me think it's not a control arm problem. what do you guys think? sorry for the 4 page letter LOL! i'm suprised my computer didn't run out of ink LOL! but no seriously, give me some help people LOL!

I've read a couple of threads and many fellow Z owner have a clunk/rattle coming from somewhere under the car they have yet to figure out what it is. I have one too! I haven't been under to take a look. But unfortunately, you've outlined all the possible problems that anyone here would probably have suggested anyways, so don't feel bad at 0 responses.
sometimes you just have to get down and dirt and do it part by part.
Let us know how it turns out if you find the fix as I might have a similar problem.

Thank.

Bryan.
