Default Window Grease TSB - success or failure?

There seem to be a lot of people who've had to get this work done multiple times. I'm trying to decide if the work is worthwhile, or if I'm just going to continue to be frustrated by the lack of a real fix for anything.

I haven't had the fix done yet, and I'm now seeing the grease-gremlins pop up.

Anyone got a link to the TSB handy? I can't find it.

IMO go get it out of the way and get it fixed you will be very happy not seeing those danm things on the side of your windows..........only bad part is that it takes so danm long for them to fix it(dropped the car off at 09:00 a.m. and wasnt ready till 17:00 p.m. ) it was worth the wait though. no problems as of now and going to get them tinted this weekend.....

Default 100% success!

TSB fix done 2 months ago - grease and rattle free ever since! Well worth it IMO if you have a decent service dept.

The first time the dealership did the grease tsb on my car it did get rid of the grease and it never came back. I had to return to the dealership twice to have my windows re-adjusted though. All is fine now.

Default One side down - one to go

I had the right window fixed last month - No Grease.

The 2nd kit is on back order and the dealership will call once it comes in. The right side was worse than the left - so I can deal for the time being.

Default Second kit came in!!

Service manager called to inform me the 2nd kit came in for the left window. The fix will be done at my next service in 2 weeks (he's going to hold the kit for me).

That should take care of the window problem(s). Now if they can get the radio/tire problems fixed.

I had the window grease problem "fixed" a couple of weeks ago, but I still get the smudge, just not as big. The service mgr thought there was grease leftover on the felt that goes along the window and was going to order a replacement. I frankly doubt that will work and I have yet to hear from them since then.

On top of this, they CUT a peice of the plastic that surrounds the window buttons AND messed up the manual lock mechanism on the driver side!! Unbelievable...

Mines at the dealership getting done right now, I'll let you all know how it turns out, from reading this thread I'm not expecting much heh. Any problems that occur though I'll be sure to take it back to get fixed though.

I dont know if i have the grease problem or not. Ive noticed whenever I wash my car.....several days later i can roll down the windows and when i roll them up they are wet.....but it doesnt seem to leave a grease stain on them. Is this just the way the car is or should they be dry?
