I have a electrical ticking type of sound inside my car everytime i try to crank my car.after it cranks it goes away.what could this be?

 

It could be the battery, the starter, or worst case scenario, depending on the ticking it could be that piston arm broke and is spinning around the crank shaft.

 

its not the engine .it sounds like it going to be a electrical issue .sound is coming from the navi.just dont know what it is.

 

Hi, I too recently encountered this ticking noise...although I don't know if my ticking noise is related to yours. Mine will begin at different RPMs, sometimes 2k sometimes it starts high at 4.5k. I would describe my ticking noise as a rotational tick sound and electrical. At 2k RPM it would tick very slow. As the RPMs increase so will the "Ticks per second." I thought it was coming from my dash area also..and I think its coming from the floor area next to the GAS pedal.

 

I forgot to mention as I can't edit...the ticking noise comes and goes for me.

 

I fiqured mine out it just the cd player trying to read cd thats not there.
