I cant seem to get rid of this light, it turned on after 3000 miles. so i change my oil and filter. and thought resetting it would be easy..i did the manual reset way. acc on for 3 sec.. step on gas 5 times within 5 secs, ..wait 7 secs..then step on gas and hold for 10sec release and wait 10 secs, press on gas hold again for 10 secs then release...turn off acc then start the car...
i dont know maybe my timing is wrong or sumthin....i have an 08 z...pls help anyone help...

 

The manual reset is NOT easy. Timing is too critical.

Go to an Autozone and they will read the code for you. They can also reset it.

You can also disconnect the battery then step on the brake to drain the power from the ECU. That shouldl clear the light but you'll never know what the problem is.

Great info I get the service engine light also from time to time, guess I am off the AZ this sunday.
