Bounce fixed on 04's... So will they fix on 03's for us?
I keep reading about "bounce" on the 03's.. (i personally dont see a problem) and then saying that it is fixed on the 04's...
well... do you think they will fix that problem people are talkin about???
i dont see a problem.. just curious....

who says its fixed? perhaps they just have different standards. the bounce would mean new shocks or new springs. thats about all they could do. but as I remember the list says nothing about new suspension.
I never has a noticable bounce... thats what makes me wonder if its really fixed, if I had an 04 I could say they fixed it, but if someone else drove it somewhere else, theyd say Im wrong.

Just thinking out loud, but Atlanta doesn't have a lot of major roads that I can think of that would have this issue extremely noticable. Nashville doesn't, either. However, as soon as I cross into KY, IL, IN, etc, with their frost swelled concrete interstates, and drive for an hour or so, it gets old pretty fast.
Not all '03s bounce. I just got back from a 2400 mile road trip up to Canada and back. I traveled every kind of pot holed, frost tilted, 2 lane, 4 lane, concrete, blacktop, etc. piece of road imagineable and I never felt any of the bouncing some people talk about. I have never felt my Z bouncing and the suspension and tires are completely stock.
The part number change in December was just a vendor number change. Nissan uses numbers at the end of the part numbers to indicate the vendor of the part. There are like 4 or 5 different ones to date. I had my dealer check into this back when that info was brought up. There was no revision of the part at that time.
I don't know that everyone will take not of the bounce. I would not be surprised if once it is pointed out people would notice it in all the cars. There could be some small variations in intensity based on model, but not sure if there is enough weight variations to matter.
