I need a bit of direction, help appreciated.
Well ive been driving my New semi used 2003 Z (12000 miles) for about 4 Months now. Everything was running flawlessly until today, i came out of work started the car and MY VCD, SLP AND Engine Check light came on.... i would step on the gas and the car wouldn't even get to 1K RPM.
Being puzzled by it, i turned it off and on a few times and finally the car came back to normal, this time the Engine Check Stayed on.
Has anybody experience this, or has come a cross a thread that has similar symptoms?
Any help would be appreciated.

not that this helps much and others will give you much better info, but it sounds like the car went into limp mode - so you can still roll it slowly if you need to. without the CEL codes I don't imagine we can take a wild stab at what is actually wrong.. but again wait for more expierienced mechanics to post their thoughts : )
the limp mode is just engaged to protect the car. somethings wrong - you can limp it on over to autozone and they will scan it for free as mentioned from WTX - they probably can't diagnose that code for you but they are easy to google/search this forum for..
I also need bit of direction regarding a problem that I’m having I think it’s either a sensor or a switch. My car was working fine with no indication of any trouble until I tired to start with no luck. The headlights, radio and wipers all still are operational. So I tried to start it in Neutral (thinking it was the inhibitor switch)--no luck. I even checked all the fluid levels. The only way I could get the car to run was by connecting the starter to the solenoid. When I tried to put it in ‘drive’ it was very sluggish, but it drives perfect in reverse. I’m thinking it’s a transmission switch or something but I figured that someone who had the same problem might offer a suggestion. (besides driving in reverse).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

another reason to by a MT!!!!
that sensor problem which is probably what one of the codes is....is a crank angle sensor, or a cam pos sensor problem. One of those will hinder you car from starting.
