Whats up everyone, well the problem "usually" happens when I turn the car on for the first time in the day. I'll get in, put the key, press the clutch, then turn on the car...everything sounds ok....as soon as I let go of the clutch, I hear this brief vibrating metal sound as Im letting go. Any ideas what this might be?? Any help would be greatly appreciated! thank you

gabe - never heard of it.. does it also do it while driving - or just at startup?

 

It's the Throwout bearing and its normal.

 

thanks ACID JAKE and redbull for the reponses! No it only happens in start up, and does this signify that I might need to replace the throw out bearing?? thanks

 

thought there's a bunch of threads about this. Believe it's normal, i have it too.

 

thanks zettahurtz, I havent noticed any other associated problems with this, But it just never happned b4, I guess if it normal, then OK....I'll keep my ears open for anything new
