Default 08 base with 5500mi and already a rough idle

so i purchased my car july 08 and it only has 5500 miles on it. recently ive been having rough idle issues(turn car on on a warm start, car turns on, rpm goes up but on its way back down it drops to about 400 and then comes back up to about 550-600)

shall i just take it to the dealer and have them diagnose/fix problem under warranty?? the car only has 5500 miles on it!!

thanks

I'm assuming you don't have any mods like an intake etc...

I would say take it to a dealer. Whatever it is, it should be under warranty.

Go straight to your dealer! Get your money's worth! 08 here is 1700 miles going strong! If I have any problems dealership comes first.

Stealership time! BTW, my 'O4 Touring Coupe purrs like a kitten; no rough idle at all, at 19,190k. That can't be "normal". Also, try changing gas stations; it could be moisture in the fuel, etc. I only get Texaco, 'cause of Techron.

all that is normal, if i come up to a stop light after a fast run/brake mine does it too. my 05 did the same thing. once again that is normal.

Default Rough Idle on 98 350Z

I'm in for the dealership reason(s) for the rough idle.

I guess you have already changed the oil for the first time and had the air filter check/changed.

Could be a number of items; MAF sensor fouled, O2 sensors fouled, intake fouled, spark plugs fouled, etc.
