Default Fluttering noise when i accelerate

I keep hearing a fluttering noise coming from my car when i accelerate kind of hard. I only take it up to about 4000 rpm since i am still breaking it in. Anybody know why my car might be doing this? it sounds like its coming from my engine

tell me about it, i only have 1100 miles on my 08 z, and im hearing a whine noise when i get up to 3 to 4k rpms, but i took it to the dealership and they say its just the drivetrain. So idk, i have never heard so many problems with an 08.

When you accelerate if you have a cold air intake it is the duct openning up (almost sounds like a turbo) My 04 Nismo makes a rattling noise when I accelerate hard, it is either the heat shield, you could have them check that. Also, try it with A/C on and off and see if that makes a difference. Finally, from another post I have read on here, loose exhaust will give you the metal to metal sound too. Just my 2 cents and 3 week non-stop research obsession.....I am finding that performance is great for the cars but they have annoying issues such as for the manual guys that the car doesnt shift well out of 1st and into 2nd until the car warms up

Probably the flutter valve is jammed up with carbon.

Yeah if you just bounce it off the rev limiter a few times you will clear out all of the carbon built up in the flutter valve.
