Default Automatic Transmission Flush. PLEASE HELP!!

Hey guys.. i have searched for a guide on an Automatic Transmission Fluid flush but I only see Manual Transmission Flush..

How many quarts do I need?

Is there a dipstick to check it?

i would take it to a dealership. there is a machine that sucks it out and puts new fluid back in. I don't think you can flush the whole auto tranny doing it at home.

You can drain about 8-9 quarts out. About 2 quarts will be left in the TC. Tranny flush I think a flush is around $150 @ the dealership and is your best bet becasue the fluid is usually between $10-$12/quart. There is a dipstick behind your intake manifold on the left side. There is a 10mm bolt that holds it down.

well heres the deal why i am even attempting to do this.. my girlfriends dad decided to disconnect some hoses running from the bottom of the radiator while we were working on the cooling system and apparently there were some hoses connected to the transmission fluid??? it looks like we lost fluid and i want to be able to top it off.. i just dont know whats the best way with approaching this..

Yes, there is a cooler built into the radiator that those lines go to. If your miles aren't that high you prob don't need a flush. Check your dipstick and if the fluid is still bright red your good, just add what's needed. Check your level with the car on and do NOT put anything but the nissan j-matic fluid in there which you will have to go to the dealership for
