Default Noise from the cluster?

Hi, I'm new to this forum and I'm from Vancouver, Canada. I'm a 18 year old ( don't hate.. not all 18 year olds are asses) with a '07 Solar Orange bought from Cali.

My problem is.. well there seems to be a cricket in my dash.. well, it makes a similar sound.. when I hear it I'm tempted to smash the dash. It happens at random intervals regardless of road conditions. Can someone help before I open it up and loosen everything. Anybody else have this problem?

Well, I would tell you to have a search - but it's busted, kinda'. There are several threads on here about squeaks and rattles, etc. Is it inside the cluster that moves with the steering wheel?

not sure exactly where it's coming from ..but it sounds like it's behind the cluster. I think imma just take it to nissan.. hopefully they dont charge me for a diagnosis .. to find nothing

I had the cricket in the cluster for about a year. If I pressed the dash under the steering wheel it went away. I also stuffed a folded handkerchief behind the cluster. Helped sometimes.

After awhile the cricket noise went away in its own.

EDIT. Members have taken the dash apart, and applied foam tape to the seams. Unfortunately this may make the situation worse.
