Default Squeeking/scraping sound

Ok

I have a squeeking / scraping sound that seems to be coming from the rear of the Z. I have new rotors and pads, I though it might have been the e-brake dragging on the inside of the rotor, adjusted that and took it for a spin.

No joy. the creaking/squeeking/scraping sound is still there.

I only hear it at low speeds (sub 35mph) and once the car is warmed up.

I thought that it could be the rear bearings but I had the back end off of the ground and the wheels have absolutely no play and when I spun them I heard nothing.

This has got me stymied and I am going to have a 500 mile drive to Canada when I get home from Jordan. I really want my car to not break on me on that trip.

Any Ideas???

Did you do the brakes yourself? If you performed the install, were the shims installed between the brake pad and the caliper piston? Also, were new parking brake shoes installed?

Well I finally decided that it was the driver side rear bearing.

So this morning I yanked the old bearing and hub and installed a new bearing and hub.

Blessed Fing Silence...

There was a lot of play in the old bearing. I guess I will just do the passenger side next as the car has seen its fair share of racing and I am guessing that the other side is up next.

Also, no more axle clicking from the drivers side...

how much did you pay for the bearing and hub? no squeeking noise since then?
