I installed an after market 6000k hid kit in my 03 base. When I initially turn on my headlights I get a flicker from my drivers side headlight after that the system works gteat!! Is this flicker a major problem?? Or just something aftermarket Hid kits do?? I have really no experience with any other Hid kits!!

Mine never did that.

 

My aftermarkets do that (04 base model here). I've been running the same HID system for the past 2 years when I initially installed it. Cost me 100 on ebay.

 

The reason they flicker is because the ballasts need to kick in to provide the extra power to them before they reach full brightness
