Help with stock head unit install!!!!!
Ok guys heres my problem. I have a 04 touring Z that came with a Bose sound system. Well i took out the stock head unit and put a Pioneer Avic F900bt and loved every minute of it, until someone busted my window out an stole it . So here is the problem, i sold my stock bose HU so i had to buy another. Well i just bought a 05 HU that is not a bose. I installed it and everything seems to work fine but i cant get any sound. I put in a CD and it plays according to the track timer but i cant hear anything. I have everything plug up in the back of it. I checked all the fuses but i figured if it was a fuse the radio wouldnt play at all but i may be wrong. but i didnt see any blown fuses. Anyone know what im missing????

Maybe the only issue is that you have to turn on the Bose amplifiers. Since you don't have an Amp-power output from the radio, you might be able to connect a jumper wire from the ACC to the Amp Turn on wire on the harness (to turn on the amps whenever the car turns on). Of course...this may not be the problem...
Sending an amplified signal (from the non-Bose HU) to the Bose amplifier shouldn't be a problem because people replace the Bose HU with an aftermarket HU all the time and it works.
Be careful if you decide to try this jumper wire...you'll have to splice into the car harness and open the opportunity to create more problems if you splice the wrong wires or create bad connections...
