Question Door losing power

Hey guys, I've been having this problem for awhile now. When the door is closed it completely loses power(no windows, locks, or mirrors) originally I thought it was the window motors going bad, but then I noticed they would work when the door was ajar. So basically, to get power to the doors I have to open my door, to roll up my windows, or adjust my mirrors. I've taken the panel off and looked at it, but I can't see any damage that would cause this issue.
Has anyone else had an issues similar to this?
The car is a 03 Performance, with about 52000 miles on it.
Thanks in advance,
Alex

Check the wires that go to the switches on the door. Seems like when the door is closed, you're losing a ground or something, like a wire not touching properly. Good luck!

I was having a problem with my passenger door losing power (except that the window down function would still work). I pulled apart the harness where it connects from the car to the door assuming I had possibly damaged one of the pins in the harness when I ran speaker wires to the doors (6+ years ago), but everything looked fine. So, I just used an air canister to clean the dust and sprayed a little contact cleaner, and put everything back together. And ever since, it's been working perfectly again. It's possible the electrical contacts were just dirty, causing the problem. May work for you also.
