I used and went through the the search thread; there does not appear to be a similiar issue regarding my A/C problem. At least from my opinion.

A/C issue. I previously used the A/C with no shut down problems,,,worked as advertised. Yesterday, on the way home, used the A/C, got home and went to shut it off, and the unit would not shut off, the blower went to high and was blowing warm air into the car.

The A/C button was selected to off and the outside vent light was lit on the middle ****. I shut the car off and went about my business. Used the car again, started the car up, the heat/air unit was off. Used the A/C again and no joy trying to shut it off. I turned ***** this way and that to get it to respond differently. It would either go to A/C or when attempted to shut it off, it would blow hot air.

Read through the search threads and made sure the white plug was plugged in and I didn't notice any breaks or issues with the ribbon connector. Anyone else experience this issue??

Any input to a fix before I take it in to get looked at? Thanks in advance.

 

So...your A/C works when it's on and blows hot air when off?

 

In simplified terms, yes. The heat/A/C will not shut off. I have to shut the car off to "reset" the system. Could it be the white box need to be replaced?

 

I would venture to say yes, sounds like the brain in the white box went bad.
