it it normal for there to be a whine type of noise which sounds like its coming from the syncros when its trying to catch up with the car? i can produce this sound when revving the car high in first gear and then slowly letting the car slow down by itslef in first gear.

 

Yeah that happens. I find it to be a funny sound. Kinda like woo-woo-woooo!
