Just called the dealer and they said Nissan only covers the cost of the alignement up to 7500 miles. Is this true? Did anyone get there's done with higher mileage then that? I asked him "even with it being a known issue?"...he said he'll have to check into it for sure. Wouldn't the feathering problem not show up until atleast 4-5K miles?
I then mentioned the Bose fix and if they could do that at the same time...he has absolutely NO clue what I was talking about and has to "look into it"

Nevermind...the manager just called me back and its any Z under 12,000 miles...whew. As for replacing the tires...the dealership has nothign to do with it and he told me to contact Nissan Consumer Affairs and they'd most likely do something.

Well the dealership told me they have nothing to do with replacing tires....just the alignment...which gets sent out to another place!!! DURRR....he said I have to contact Nissan Consumer Affairs about tire replacement. Hopefully I can get 4 tires out of this like the one guy did talking to David Phillips...keeping fingers crossed. Have had a recent string of bad luck lately with stuff breaking on my from my Jeep, to my washing machine to my shed....I could use a break on fixing the Z
It took me several months to get my replacement tires, and only the fronts were replaced. Good luck dealing with Nissan Consumer Affairs, as they will RARELY (if ever) return your call. The only way I was able to put anything in motion was to contact another rep, who then would be like, let me see if your representative is available. And miraculously, they were all of a sudden available. Needless to say, when I got my survey from Nissan, I slammed their Consumer Affairs department.
