Default cooling fans not running

Did not realize it until I had to sit through two lights then the overflow started boiling. I looked at the relay and it seemed fine. Turned on the A/C and the fans did not run. What else should I check? If it's the fan motors what is the likelihood of them both going at once? If you've gone through this before or have diagnosed similar situations, I'd appreciate hearing from you. Thanks.

Check out this. I got it in the Mail last week. I am not sure what year you have.

I received the same letter on Thursday.

OP, I'd contact the dealer to find out if your Z is in the group of cars included in this new extended warranty program. It could be something else, but this might be a relatively easy fix.

Hi folks, and thanks. I have a 2003 base model but I'll contact the dealership anyway. Anyone else?

I have a 2003 and I just replaced the fan motor today. Considering the fan motor I bought was $38 w/ a lifetime warranty, I don't think it would be worth bothering with the dealership.

Sorry, we are getting sidetracked by the fan motor warranty thing. It does seem unlikely that both fans motors would go out at the same time. Are you sure one didn't go out a while ago and you just now noticed since both fans are not working? You can test the fan motors with a multimeter or by wiring directly to the battery (just as a test, not permanently) to see if the fans turn on.

No, that's fine friend . I'm glad folks engage to any degree. My battery was dead today so I went and had it tested, bad cell. Only 5 mos old--that got me a little flustered with the whole thing so I called forged performance and decided to let them trouble shoot the fans and install a koyo rad while they were at it. That ought to teach that car not to screw around with me, ha.
I'll post what they find. Thanks.

Both fan motors were bad. Unfortunately, the OEM motors were $190 ea.
