1. My SES light was BLINKING tonight when i got started down the road and then turned off about 20 seconds later. This just happend and now when im driving it seems to be fine. I have almost 100k miles and im wondering what the hell this means!

2. My damn driver side door lock is not unlocking correctly and the toggle is getting stuck midway. I now have to enter my f*cking car through the passenger side. Any ideas???

How many OBDII codes are there that will trigger a check engine light? 20? The best I can do is a guess.

Possibly some anger management classes would do you some good. The car has almost 100,000 miles and you are mad about a couple minor issues. Just get them fixed and move on with your life. Getting upset and using expletives will just raise your blood pressure.

1. SES LIGHT:
yeah, the next time the light comes on head to autozone or a local autoparts store that can run the code for you......
from there if its not clear, post it up and maybe someone can help you with experience on the matter...

2. DOOR LOCK:
Lithium based lubricant - your car has age on its side, the factory greese has probably broken down.......if the electronic mechanism is still working via key fob but the toggle isnt opening all the way i would say try lube'n up the hardware...

a blinking SES light usually means a misfire. this is usually pretty serious, so i would visit the dealer.

A blinking SES light means a misfire that has the capability of damaging the cat. The more you drive it the more chance your going to need to replace the cats.

Today I took the driver side door apart to see if i could get to the lock mechanism. Man, what a pain in the A$$! It looks like the previous owner had someone in there jimmy-riggin' some wires. Anyways, i sprayed all kinds of lube all over the mechanisms by the lock and it seemed to be working fine. I guess i'll find out soon enough.

I don't understand, how did you determine random and cylinder 6 misfires if no codes are showing up? You said earlier your SES light was blinking, so obviously there are codes... That being said, I would start by tracking down the issue on cylinder 6, most likely a bad spark plug coil or bad/clogged injector on that cylinder. After that issue has been fixed, clear the codes and see if the random misfire code returns.

well, his reader only said, "Random misfires" and "cylinder 6 misfire"... so i guess those are the codes? So im gonna replace the spark plugs since i'm almost at 100k miles.

That would be codes P0300 (random/multiple cylinder misfire) and P0306 (cylinder 6 misfire). Replacing the spark plugs as you mentioned is definitely a good idea if they have been in there for 100k miles, but there is a good chance this won't fix the codes you are getting. I am betting on a bad coil or injector in cylinder 6. Start with the spark plugs since they need replacing anyway, have your friend clear the codes, then drive 50+ miles and see if the code comes back.

I had engine light and code for cylinder 4 misfire, then a code about 40-50 miles later that had to do with the cat, but wasnt specific and I cant remember the code. This coming off of repairing this salvaged 06 MT Z, could these be clues its an oil consuming Z and my life will get much worse?

OP- Sorry for straying off topic a little
