Default A-Pillar weather stripping

Ive come to realize you cant buy the OEM style of weather strip for the A-Pillar that runs on the top of the roof from the hatch to the hood. Nissan doesn't sell it but will gladly sell you a new pillar that comes pre-attached with one.

Ive been looking for a suitable replacement as mine are starting to deteriorate and i have some new CF Pillars that need a good seal. Ive searched online for weeks now but haven't found anything close. Has anyone had any luck trying to find an alternative to use? Ive even looked at other models (maxima, xterra etc.) to see if it may be a similar product Nissan uses but still no luck.

Post up pics or links if you've found something that will work..

I have run into this same problem and the only solution for me was getting trim at home depot, look in the weatherstripping section, there should be long metal door pieces or something like that and they have a rubber strip which goes well with the A pillar. Thats what i used for my cf pillars.

I have the same problem. The stripping is a small rubber seal that goes between the outside a-pillar and the roof. It starts at base of the hood and runs along the a-pillar then it changes to a different shape stripping that runs from the end of the windshield to the top of the trunk division.

Smile Weather Seal on front bottom of left and right windshield

I have found that if your smaller weather strips are still good on the A Pillars. Keep those in place or glue them back on. Go to Pep Boys and buy a strip of Carbon Fiber for $20.00. Cut off the deteriorating weather seal on the bottom of the windshield on both the right and left side of the windshield. Measure out the Carbon fiber strip and slide it under the existing smaller weather strip on the front of the windshield. Pull it back to grab the plastic over the adhesive strip and pull it off keeping the Carbon fiber strip in place. Attached, you will find pictures.

Has anyone found the outside A pillar weather stripping? Same as described in the post above me. The plastic cowl piece is fine but the rubber weather stripping that runs along the outside of the A pillar is gone at the bottom. Or just go to an auto body shop?
