Question Airbag - non-blinking light help, possible reset?

My car is a rebuild.. that once had the airbag deployed.. the airbag has been replaced by prev. owner but was never hooked up properly.. when i got the car it was missing the plugs on the wires that plug into the airbag.. so i had to replace that entire part the wires come from..

my airbag light does not blink when i turn the car on it is on constantly
I was going to try the Ignition method where you wait till it quits blinking and turn key so many times.. but like i said.. mine doesn't blink.. its on constant..

Is there some other way i can reset this so it will go away without going to the dealer and paying out the wazoo for them to do it..

Anyone ran into this before and managed to find a cure?

The restraint system control unit under the center console has stored crash codes.
It can be cleared and reset or replaced.
Dealers HAVE to replace..
