Default Help! Airbag Light

i have a 2004 350z enthusiast...only 25k and my airbag light is flashing at me. tried resetting battery and no luck. manual says could be seat belt tensioner but not sure where to turn other then taking her in to the stealership...which i would like to avoid for obvious reasons.

thanks in advance for any advice

Hey guys,

Have the same issue but my light is still blinking.

I did get into a minor front bumper accident but nothing huge.

I can't seem to get the light to stop working. I hope I don't have to make a trip to the dealership

you prob need to keep going through the diagnostic that was posted...should be able to figure the problem from there and hopefully you don't end up having to take the car in

Your welcome road warrior. Nothing is better than to know that your car doesn't have to go into the dealership, lol. I'm glad things went well for you man.

+1......you probably need to keep doing the reset procedure. Some people weren't as gifted with accordination and it takes them more than one or two tries to get it right. The procedure must be done in a certain time frame...keep at it.

takes a little practice because the timing is essential.

I tried it twice since my last post & still no dice. I am going to read the schematic in the other thread & have a friend try it again, crosses fingers.

i feel lucky then to have gotten this to reset. i didn't have a stop watch, but i would just count to myself the time in between turning the key on, and then off, on and then off...etc. hope you guys have better luck with this....i'm sure it is just a timing issue performing the reset procedure.

the following was taken from within the link/thread that marques1 referred that worked for me:

1: put key in ignition
2: turn to the ON position (not engine on but ACC on), SRS light will come on for a solid 7 seconds and then it will start to blink.. as soon as it goes off after the 7 second "on" turn to off position.
3: you'll hear beeps from the car, count 5 sets of beats (5 seconds)

4: turn to the ON position, SRS light will come on for a solid 7 seconds and then it will start to blink.. as soon as it goes off after the 7 second "on" turn to off position.
5: you'll hear beeps from the car, count 5 sets of beats (5 seconds)

6: turn to the ON position, SRS light will come on for a solid 7 seconds and then it will start to blink.. as soon as it goes off after the 7 second "on" turn to off position.
7: you'll hear beeps from the car, count 5 sets of beats (5 seconds)

8: turn to on, and leave on... now if it turns off after the 7 second solid "ON" you are good to go.

if this does not work and your light does something else...there is more troubleshooting that you have to perform that is posted in the link.
