Default SPC camber arm and toe bolt install

I was quoted 200 dollars to install this, I think that is outrageous! I do not have a mechanic or know anyone that can do this for me. There is nothing I hate more than getting ripped off. Is this a rip off?

Does that price also include the alignment after install....or is that just install only.

$ 200.00 seems too rich for me for a job that takes about an hour or less.
You could do it yourself and save some money...just takes a few wrenches and a dremel....and you could buy all that for way less than 200 bucks.

Install only... I was looking over the installation instructions with pictures, it doesn't seem too hard.

Didn't you read the part of the instructions that says:

"All products available from Specialty Products Company are intended for use by professional installers only."

find another shop? Any shop that does alignments can easily install this for you. It will take about 1-1.5 hours exclusive of the alignment

It is the shop that does my alignments. The quote is for 2.2 hours at 90 bucks per hour. I just said 200 bucks I know my math is off.

Yeah I noticed the part of the instructions that stated that... Looking at instructions with pictures of people doing it themselves, saying to make sure you smear dirt and grease on your arms to make it look like you were doing something difficult.

I know you did, you recommended I get the SPC camber and toe bolt kit.

The fact you had it installed for $75 made me want to punch something, when the guy at the shop said about $200. I could throw down another 25 bucks and have it installed 3 times where you got yours done.

You're making this exponentially harder than it needs to be. This is why google exists, or your regional forum. If you're not happy with the price, then find another price

took me 3 seconds to find in google...and there are more listed as well

S&R Performance is also a sponsor on this board IIRC and in that area

I did the same install about a month ago with some friends. Hardest part is getting up under the car and elongating those slots for the new toe bolt washers. I would pay maybe $75, but certainly not $200 for that install. Just read over the DIY and make sure to get the correct 'High Speed Cutter' Dremel bit for elongating the slots.

It can also be done with a round file as well. Takes a bit more time but it can be done well within a 2 hour span even after having to drop an exhaust for clearance. The file cuts through the soft metal fairly quickly.
