Intake cut A/C line. Disconnect tool? Help!!
My aftermarket intake cut into my A/C line, and now I'm stuck in the Texas heat with no AC. The service manual says to use a disconnect tool, but I'm not sure if I need something special, or if I should just buy this one from Autozone. The 1st pic looks like it might be awkward near the firewall, but is the cheapest. The 3rd one looks most like the one in the manual. Does anyone know through experience which is most practical? What size is needed?
Has anybody replaced the high pressure line before? Any tips or suggestions?
Sorry for all the questions, but I've been looking for a job
, and 1st impression isn't the best when you show up drenched in sweat.
Normally I would just take it to the dealer, but the funds aren't exactly great right now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

The high pressure line uses a size 12 (3/4") spring lock I believe, and any of the above tools should work, you just need something to relive the spring while you slide the smaller line out.
I'm replacing my high and low pressure soon, so if you still need help i can offer up once I'm done.

Same thing happened to me with my K&N intake. Sucks. Not a cheap fix. More new Z owners need to be warned about this when installing an intake. My "ghetto fix" was to tighten the clips more, and to use cardboard under it so there is no chance on the intake touching the ac line.
I got a piece of scrap rubber hose and put it around my ac line to avoid this problem with my popcharger...so far so good. Just a suggestion for when you fix the line.
Thanks for all your help!! I changed out the line this weekend with the 2nd set. I tried with the 3rd one, but it was too difficult. The service manual says to take out the strut bar and low pressure flexible hose, but I got it in with a little wiggling. Wasn't too expensive in the long run. $57 for the line and $30 to vacuum & recharge the system. I ended up putting the factory intake back in so I won't have to deal with this again. To be honest, I didn't see much of a difference with the aftermarket one. But then again it was a generic brand I bought off Ebay with a K&N filter attached.
