Default Is it possible to be completely missing an OBDII port?

My clutch line apparently needed adjustment says the dealership but they said they searched around and could not find my OBD II port. They asked me but I've only had the car for about 6 months. I bought it used so is it possible it's not there? I know I need it for smog and maybe future visits to the dealership. I'm contemplating tearing my dash apart to search for it.

look under your steering wheel, below the dash. It should be there.

Can't say I've heard that one before. Any car sold as a US car 96 and up should have an OBD-II port. It's held under the dash on the driver side near the hood release. The little tabs that hold it on to it's bracket may have broken in which case the connector would be tucked behind the dash somewhere.

Obviously they weren't looking very hard. Find it yourself, then take it back to the dealer and slap em' .

Youre going to kick yourself if you tear the dash apart. Look for the white plug on the left side behind the hood latch. It's there, you just aren't looking in the right place.
