Default No speedo, SLIP TCS ABS lights on. Help please.

Yesterday it was raining like a bi*** and I drove through some puddles(nothing deeper than 3-4 inches), I do have an Injen CAI and everything was fine yesterday. I drove a lot on the highway after the rain had died down. I got home from work, parked it at my place and came out this morning and started my car. Engine is running fine, front wipers do not work, rear ones do, SLIP TCS ABS lights are on, no check engine light, speedo and tach are not working. I plugged in to get codes and this is what i got:

U1001
P1212

I have been searching for the past hour at work and have found out that the codes have something to do with ABS/TCS and the CAN communication. What I have not found is what to do about this or how to go about fixing it. This is where I need your help. Any ideas?

Did you check fuses, fusible links, etc?

No not yet, I have been at work, only had time to run home and check codes.
Will check when I get home and update.

Well i got home and took the positive terminal off the battery and tightened all my grounding wires. Waited about 10 mins re-connected the battery and it worked fine. My guess is that the connection just got wet. Thanks anyway DavesZ.

I had something similar happen a few months ago. Got caught out in a bad t-storm and the locks and alarm seemed to go wacky. After it dried out overnight, everything worked fine. I suspect water is able to get behind the firewall and down around the fuses and BCM.

mine sort of had the same prob, pissed the hell out of me. considering i have had many, many probs with the z already..but what happened to me was this: came home for the weekend from college, and yesterday went to leave for college. while entering the interstate, my speedometer dropped and maybe 3-6 seconds later it went back to where it was supposed to be, but the throttle/engine was perfectly fine, didnt shut off or anything either. idk why it dropped, when the needle went back up, the abs light came on..
but pulled over to rest area, then turned off the engine and turned it on, light didnt come back on..stressed the hell out of me. hopefully it wont come back on.. ;p
