I'll be taking it into a shop this weekend hopefully, but I'm hoping to know the rough cost before hand. Electronics still work fine, and the mirror itself is intact... it's just the plastic "hinge" that connects the mirror to the car that is broken.

 

What kind of ship will you be taking it to? Navy ship? Cruise liner? Pirate ship? Cargo ship?

Add 2 hours labor($160) for paint and install.
Total $420.

 

I was an idiot and hit the mirror against the side of my garage...

item+paint+installation+tax= $448.72 in Ohio.

 

hopefully you can find one in the same color and save $

 

I wonder if I can convince the insurance company that someone threw a rock at the windshield while I'm at it...

Put some painter's tape on that door so the mirror doesn't scratch the paint all to hell!

 

id look up the stock part on ebay , or on here theres a place that parts cars out.. look in the classifieds first. And yeah, id get a whole new set of carbon mirrors for 250 bucks before id pay 400 plus to fix that one , thats just MHO.

i saw a yellow mirror go for $65 on ebay last week... most are under $200 shipped...
just gotta find one in your color/side. be patient. remove it in the meantime.
