Default new drive belt squeeks

I searched but couldn't find out the answer. Recently installed new drive belts from Gates. After the day i installed the belts, i crank up the engine and heard very loud and high pitch noise for a sec. I thought the squeek was from a rat being cut up between the belts and squeezed lol. It's been 3 days and this squeeking only appears from start up after sitting outside for awhile. The belts' deflection is in spec.
Will this noise go away over time, or is it the Gates belts that making the noise?

I usually tighten mine to a point where it feels slightly overtightened to avoid squeels.

Thanks for really quick reply. I did tighten it up a little after when i first heard the noise.
Man, getting down there and removing undertray and loosening the lock bolt is no fun

haha, yeah, I don't like having to mess with the undertray either, but I've just about got it down to an art.

Adjusting the bolts is easy though.

Tightening may help - but I'm going to guess it's the Gates belt. With non-OEM belts you always risk variations in the belt width or cut of the grooves.

belt too loose = squeek
belt too tight = supercharger whine

Also, improper installation, using the wrong belt, or having a pulley or tensioner thats on it way out can cause squeeking as well... Good luck.

best way to narrow down which belt it is, is to drop some water on the each belt individually and see which one stops squeeking when wet.

theres absolutely nothing wrong with gates belts, really dont know why someone would ever say that..it needs to be tightened..tighten again and leave the tray off for a day if need be in case you need to tighten again..really not a big job

Went under the car and tighten those bolts just now. Started up the car and didn't hear the noise. We'll see if it completely went away tomorrow morning.

While i was under the car, i checked the tires to see how they are doing and looks like they are not doing so good..
Do you think that i should swap the front tires left and right? Not sure if spending $50 on swapping the tires is worth it for the amount of treads i have left. In the pic, the inner side doesn't show much of unevenness but if you zoom in, you'll see better. Does it look like normal wear with -1.0 and -1.3 camber?
IIRC, The tires had plenty of treads with even wear when i bought the car 39000 miles (dunlop durezza tires (dunno if these are from factory). i'm noticing this uneven wear pattern after 2000 miles and after getting the car aligned at big o tires after i bought the car (all four corners' toes were out of spec not the cambers). The car now has 41000 miles. Although i don't notice feathering spots but i'm leaning toward of having feathering issue with my 05 from seeing that the inner tires wear down so quickly.

Second pic is the inner side

I have to do the same thing- had belts change now get a really awesome squeal on startup if I don't let the car warm up for 5 minutes.

Nothing like belt squeal to make you look like a real winner.

As far as the tires, I personall wouldn't bother with them, they look fine to me.
