I been thinking about the crank shaft position sensor... But I jus thought of something stupid . You have an auto... If the car is in gear the results your getting would be typical... Even if the selector looks like its in park it might not be.. Try putting it in neutral or turn the ignition while running it through all the selections.. If the switch that prevents you from starting the car in gear is faulty the car could be thinking its in gear Wen its not.. Wen the Guy towed the car he had to shift it into neutral to move it... Make sure u push the selector all the way forward... I bet that's the issue.... I hope you followed my rant....lolz lemme kno.....
You're smart.

I'm liking the neutral/park safety switch as the culprit. It's much more likely to have intermittent symptoms when it fails or gets out of adjustment. It's also a much less expensive fix than replacing the ECU or fuel pump.

They called today and said it should be done by tomorrow. They said that the cables coming off the battery were broken. (?) and that there was a fuse that was broken, which wasn't in the fuse boxes.
$690 to fix it. Not bad? at least Ill have a working car.

I wouldn't trust that one.... Those ****ers will get u like a modern day pick pocket.. A fuse is blown all the time not intermittently? if the battery cables were beat , Wen u turned the ignition on there would be no power and Wen u cycle the ignition fully the dash lights would prolly have gone out. Due to arcing from loose/ frayed cables the interior and ignition lights would of atleast once throughout this whole ordeal failed to work...
I smell a rat!
I really hope u don't experience this sheit again.. Like Steve said if u were local we would be more than happy to help out!

good call Ray!
Midtx, didn't you say you fully inspected the battery terminals and cables? you would've seen the damaged cable if you traced it around the motor. And which fuse exactly did they say was blown? they just told you "a fuse"?
you need to get some more details about their inspection method and how they made their final determination before you commit to this shady dealership

Not necessarily true. In my experience, if the cables are corroded, you'll have power to everything, but it won't crank. I chased that problem on a past vehicle.

I'll have more information tomorrow. They still have the car and i'm assuming they'll explain everything to me once I'm there to pick it up. I'll be sure to ask the questions that 350zion was asking. I checked the cables as best as I could and I didn't see anything when I had the car, but they said that it was further down, I guess by the motor. Which I didn't check.
