Default Help with 04 Touring Window

Hey guys. I recently bought an 04 Touring and the drivers side window's auto-up doesn't work. It will go down with one push but if I try and do the auto-up (not sure technical term here) the window will go completely up then will go down again about a 1/3 of the way? Ideas?

It even does this when I put the windows up using the key. They will both go up perfectly fine, but the drivers side once closed will then drop back down.

The motor needs to have the re-learn procedure done most likely. My 07 did the same thing and it wouldn't re-learn, so it had to be replaced. Download the FSM for your car if you want to attempt the re-learn procedure yourself. It's kind of a pain, but if it works you'll be golden.

My passenger side did it and the dealer reset it while the car was in for some recall service 4 years ago. Started doing it again about 2, maybe 3 years ago. I just coax it up instead of using auto-up until I happen to have the door panel removed to get to the reset button.
(Who was the idiot engineer who put the reset button in a totally inaccessible place?)
A failing motor generally results in the window not going all the way up or down - not in backing down on auto-up where the sensor just thinks it is running into an obstruction.
