Window issue (not that one)
Replaced the brushes in my driver's side window a while back. Got everything put back and did the reset procedure, and all was well for a few months.
However, for some reason I've found recently that it'll go down when I open the door, but won't go back up. Likewise, the auto up function doesn't work (regular up will work fine though), and when the door is open I can't put it up at all.
I've reset the motor at least two dozen times, so I know that's not the issue. Could the switch be going bad? Is there a way to test the switch without buying a new one just yet? And is there anyone in the md/dc area willing to let me try their switch if necessary?

I'm having the similar problem since I've replaced the brushes. I think their was a thread that someone pointed put that the male connector has a loose pin.I can't locate the thread anymore.

you're talking about the male connector for the switch, yes?
that could be a possibility i didn't think of. I'll get cracking on that after work tomorrow, thanks for the suggestion.

checked all the pins (both in the switch and in the harness plug that goes into it) and nothing is noticeably loose anywhere. next step i suppose is to get a multimeter on it, but i won't have time for that until probably sunday. will post more as i know more. appreciate the help thus far.

As an update, I've narrowed it down to either the driver's side window switch, or the regulator itself.
The following are all movements that WORK:
Auto down via switch.
Slight drop when opening door.
Auto down via key fob.
Regular up and down (holding the button), door open or closed, while car is running.
The following DO NOT WORK:
Auto up via the switch, with door open or closed and car running.
Auto up via key in door.
Auto slight up when closing door from open.

window problem
one day driving heard my window sounded a little off. like it was dragging.. then it wouldnt go up for days and one day it went up. so got a motor... before putting it in i tested everything with multimeter. switch looks fine, regulator fine, motor even fine. so i put the new motor on try it out.. when door opens it pops down, but to far.. i did the sequence reset on motor switch down, then switch up..open door all while car is on. but when door closes it will not pop up and seal. i dont know whats going on! anyone familiar>??
