Default wheel bearing sound or not?

So my 04 touring has 68k suddenly im hearing a "wud dah wud dah wud dah" lol as i downshift and slow to red lights..almost a very minor flat tire sound. My mind is wondering, wheel bearings? im use to it roaring alot louder in other cars ive experienced..maybe it just started to go...? dented rim? but why or how really..doesnt seem likely the way and where I drive. Or did the wheel wheel weights somewhere fall off. where to begin.
I was just in the process of building the suspension, got front + rear camber kits, stillen sway coming soon, tokico hp blues, eibach pro kit already on. thinking some whiteline bushings on lower control arms up front. any input on the noise and or alignment specs for this set up, to get as much tire on the ground as possible let me know thanks!

I'm having the same problem. I know what you mean "wud dah wud dah" I'm thinking wheel bearing....It bugs the HELL out of me. Mine is still under warranty so i'm gonna get that fixed asap! If your's is, i'd start with that too. I had no problems getting my waranty to pay for it. gl!

if you say that out loud , yes.. its kind of slow dull winding roaring sound.... that was what happened when my rear outside bearing was bad.. super easy to check.. jack car up, wiggle wheels. Play equals bad bearing

If you jack the car up and try to wiggle the wheel, make sure your parking brake is off otherwise it won't wiggle regardless of the condition of the bearing.

would you also be able to tell if the hub is bad by doin that?

my car is doing this also, very badly though.

I already replaced tires and had my front wheels fixed "un-bent" and its still doing it

If you're a new owner, don't forget to check out "tire feathering" or "tire cupping." I was blown away by what a wierd noise that made considering the source. I would have sworn it wasn't a tire related noise.

Does it get worse when there is load on one side, like when you turn while going, or if you hit the brakes? If so probably. I had the same problem after hitting a speed bump too hard.

I replaced both my front wheel bearing. Easy stuff. But for the longest time I thought it was the tires, replaced (they needed it) didn't help. Noticed on the highway I would get a weird shake in the steering wheel at anything above 70mph and sounded like a lion rawring in the car. Took to the a friends shop for a balance. Help very slightly. But the noise was bad. Z sounded like a lifted truck on mud tires. Friend driving next to me could hear grinding at 45-50mph.

Odd thing was I did the, lift the tire off the ground shake test, it was solid.

Have a feeling that the brake dust from the HP+ I had on there killed the bearing. It was gummed up real good!

Only took me 45minutes to hour to replace both sides with simple tools.
