Blown Flexsection in my Y Pipes
Noticed a leak in my exhaust a few days ago and decided to bring it to a lift and found out one of my flex sections in my Y pipe is blown. Local shop is quoting around a $200 fix for this since it is an aftermarket system and requires a larger than stock flex section.
Does this seem like a legit quote? If you were in this position what would you do?
Keep sarcastic comments to a minimum please;
Ex. "Total it"

Or, put feeler on craigs....or, buy a cheap welder, do it yourself, and inherit a new tool out of the deal....welding is not as daunting of a task as people make it out to be. Granted, I've been schooled in the area, a simple flux core wire feed will run you $60-100 and once again, you will pick up a new skill and tool....welding is a f'n blast.
Just my two cents

Never mind all this. The shop ordered the flex section, I wasn't consulted too much about it lol I just got a call saying it's in. Guess I'm just gonna get it fixed and hope i don't get the typical bad news on top of bad news body shop conversation after.
Exhaust is all fixed did a great job with welding and even centered my muffler free all just short of $190. Happy with it so far!
