Default Water Pump Question

Does anyone know or has heard when the water pump should be replaced or starts to wear out?

I'm considering doing it as a preventive maintenance as my Z recently went past the 100K miles mark (end of ext warranty) but if I've still got a decent interval of time left, I'll hold off.

No symptoms at all, just wondering.

Thanks

Haven't had no issues with mine. I'm at 114000 miles and still looks good!!

The water pump on the VQ engine is inside the front timing case and driven by the timing chain. You don't want to go there unless it's absolutely necessary.

^ Yep. I understand that. Just wondering if anyone has any information about when the typical replacement time is.

It doesn't have a technical wearout time. No car does. Unfortunatly there's no reason you'd ever be there like a timing belt car. I've done 2 on a 95-99 maxima (vq30de). Its not that bad. But it is on the chain, which means no amateurs.
