Default Clutch issue

Hey all, been having this clutch problem recently but havent had much time to fix, now i have some time, but am not sure what exactly needs fixing.... it started with the clutch squeeling when depressed (definitely throw out bearing, have had this before) but then that went away and now theres a slight whine the clutch isnt depressed, sounds like a bearing, but goes away when clutch is depressed which is weird because throw out bearing is spinning when clutch is depressed..... the whine starts only after the car is driven for a while, not initially, also the clutch pedal has been sticking really bad, have bled it several times and still does it, again only after a few miles will it start sticking.... if it stick, i can rev the engine high in gear and itll be firm for a shift or two, but will go back to sticking...... its the throw out bearing seized which is causing the whine when the clutch isnt depressed??? Also can the throw out bearing cause a sticky clutch??? Sorry for the long post....

I went through a phase where I killed SEVEN (yes, 6+1!) throwout bearings in 2 years with my old Mustang - don't even ask . Hopefully the same info is right with these fancy new Z's , but yeah, it's your throwout bearing. And yes, it can cause an altered clutch feel.

Didn't know you still had unanswered questions! On my old 5.0, ANY throwout bearing could be used, OEM was always the preferred way to go. I'd look for a definite answer for that one though, man. Good luck.

more likely you need to replace clutch master/slave cylinder.

If it were the master/slave cylinder, then the pedal would always be getting stuck, which is not the case. I know for a fact that its the throw out bearing, just dont know if the stock one will fit on an aftermarket clutch

Hey all, after months of waiting on it, i finally replaced the throw out bearing, and the old one was SHOT to hell.... the center part that sits on the clutch sleeve was grinded down about an 1/4 of an inch!!! It got so hot that it was purple and had stress fractures all around the inside orifice... I had to run to the dealership to pick up a new sleeve as well because that also suffered.... thank you for your help guys.... she rides like new now... finally lol
