HELP bucking, spitting, WTF
I have a 2004 350z with a fresh fully built vq35de. There are about 2k on the motor now. I am tuned on osiris and now I am having issues the car started bucking and almost sounds like it is not getting fuel when on the gas? at idel its like popping out the exhaust. not smooth idle almost like rapid pops instead. Hard to explain i can do a video later on. Im not getting codes. I tried a ECU reset and all. The thing is the car had lost all throttle control last week and then reset it and it was ok. The motor sounds fine nothing strange there. Im considering selling this car its honsetly has to much money into it to keep leaving me stranded from small issues like this. Any info would help like I said i can get a sound clip maybe tonight if the rain lets up.
im trying to better discribe the sound when on the gas, Its like a fuel cut sound kinda lol. like a pppppp but does not cut off like fuel cut just spits and gets jumpy
Thanks Alex.

thanks for response, I think the maf would cause more of a bouce/stall and throw a code fast and i think the traction light? not positive but I will unplugg to be sure tonight. anything else guys?

Not at all. I've seen faulty MAF sensors run pretty normal but give shitty drivability and not even give a check engine light. Depends exactly what fails in the sensor. Traction light will only come on if there is a problem with the wheel speed sensors. Unplugging it will probably stall the engine, don't think that will help you much.

yea if you unplug the maf it will cause the engine to stall. it sounds to me like you have a fuel problem. it could possibly be the maf as italianjoe said but i would start with fuel. good luck

intake manifold leak(s)
faulty/dirty MAF
bad cam angle sensor(s)
multiple bad coils/spark plugs
bad injector(s) (unlikely)
without scanning for codes, you're going to just be guessing unfortunately - get yourself a factory service manual and start going through the above 1 by 1

Well heres an update. I reflashed with my osiris program and the car runs slower it seems but normal. Then if I get on it or let of the throttle it feels like the motor shifts or something and then it went back into this crazy mode. Still no code. I reflashed again and its ok. If i drive it normal then its ok.
I know i need a flywheel i stuck the stock in and it is noisy and just not ok lol. could it be throwing off the sensor there? But i will drive it normal until a code pops up i guess. And go from there.
