It is an eye sore on the front of the engine, and I see alot of pictures and people don't have this line! Just curious to see if I could remove it and cap it. It looks like a return to the passenger side from the thermostat

it's a coolant bypass to go to the thermostat housing i think to warm it up faster. I've removed mine with no issues to coolant temp. I just need to get some good silicon caps or weld of the ports.

Read it carefully...can get confusing if your not familiar with the lines and their routes/function, etc.....look at pathfinder bypass in routing the coolant lines, also mentioned in that thread...

mods like that are purposeful if utilized correctly......what was your engine out for??.........just cause it was out, doesn't mean you need any of those mods.......collectively read those involved in that thread and you'll see its a different type of Z owner doing those mods...

I used to think that the 350z engine bay has a lot of extra useless things until I worked on my friend's 02 Golf GTI 1.8T.
