Your best bet would be to get it on a lift though and you could tell right away if it is touching since you would be able to rotate the wheel.

I did think it was another axle-click thread at first but hopefully you can get that fixed too. It doesn't hurt the car to leave it but it can be annoying.

Do yourself a favor and just take the 5 min to jack the car up and check it out. As its been stated before, being able to actually turn the wheel will allow you to pinpoint the location of the sound and then you will be able to correct the issue. You dont have to take all of the wheels off... just the one that produces the sound when you turn it.
