Arrow 06 350z rev needle bounces??

hey guys im not sure what the problem is but recently my rpm needle bounces alot. if i tap the gas or shift fast the rpm needle jumps. any thought on what the problem would be or how to fix it? thanks in advance

mine does that as well. but its only when i first start it.

Several potential problems:
1. The tachometer
2. The source of the tachometer signal: CAN communication line, Unified meter and A/C amp.

i sort of have this problem in my 07' .. shortly after starting it, if i am rolling in 1st gear the car gets really jumpy lol .. it is wierd... but it only last about a minute and then its fine and dandy.

Mine does the same thing sometimes when shifting more quickly than not. Doesn't really cause anything too negative though so I'm not too worried about it.

thanks guys ya i figure it wasnt a big issue im just hoping the needle isnt loose to the point that one hard tap and it falls off the tach...lol. idk i guess it's not much of a worry. i had this problem before and once i replace the pulleys with the underdrive light weight unorthodox pulleys the car reved much faster which made the problem worse. now about to go supercharge so trying to fix the problem before forced induction...
