What are the symptoms of a busted steering rack?

I'm not sure, but I found out that the bushings for the compression rod are cracked and I'm having them replaced. So hopefully that fixes it

Got the dealer to acknowledge the cracked compression rod bushings and they replaced them under warranty. So the car drives like new again. There's still a small vibration in the steering wheel, even at idle but overall the problem is fixed. No more bump steer, shaking steering wheel, etc. So if you have any of these symptoms, that's what it is. Thank you everyone for your input.

Okay just an update to my previous post. A week after having the compression rod assembly replaced, the vibration came back. I had the following done and it fixed the issue:
1. Road force balanced the wheels
2. Installed hub centric rings with a 73.1 outter diameter and a 66.1 inner diameter.

Hopefully this helps other people.

I notice my z shake starting above 120km/h then pretty bad at 140.
I feel shaking below 120 if I lightly turn the wheel back and forth.
anything around 140 and decelerate it feels like a death wobble gonna start.

I'm gonna pull the wheels and start twisting and pulling stuff to see if somethings sloppy.
Also the wheels for runout.
The power steering feels weak like I'm driving a tow truck compared to my yaris.

well the Z"s steering is already heavier than most cars. Much more than my wife's Altima.
Have you checked the bearings?
Wheels balanced?
I'm just reiterating everything previously posted lol
