Thumbs up Major Service coming up ....

Hey Guys!

Need some help. Ive my major P3 service coming up but only showing 14,500 on the clocks.

I was just wanting to see what all you guys are running on your N/A tuned zeds.

Come service my mods will only be:

- Test Pipes
- XYZ pipe
- Nismo system
- Stillen Gen 3's

Is it worth while going 1 grade colder on the plugs at this stage? Or should I just stick OEM but just change the plugs for Iridium ones?

Oil wise and gearbox/Diff oil any suggestions what appears to be the best for them?

Any help on the above would be great. Also what else apart from the above do you guys do come P3/Major service?

Thanks, Chris

Why change plugs? That's not part of a 15K mile service. Diff/trans fluid should be 30K as well.

O really I thought as my car was now over three years old its due the fluid change and just to be picky sparks.

Im going by years now on the service book oposed to mileage as my car has so little.

Wouldn't bother with the plugs....going a degree colder on plugs only seems necessary with FI or Nitrous applications.

Also, test pipes are cheaper but you may want to go HFC route. TP's can get very raspy....if that's what you want then go for it but you could learn a lot about them by just watching vid's on youtube.

Do you have any type of EMS right now I.e. uprev?

I have HFC's at present but have been advised TP's/ART pipes are a better application for N/A tuning.

Im running uprev at present yes.

ART's are like the non-rasp version of TPs. Expensive but well worth it.

They have a secondary tube that arcs off of the main flowing pipe, that somehow baffles the sound.

Here's all the info you need on it:

if the Rasp resonates at 100hz the tube that comes down creates another -100hz tonal and cancels it out, thus no rasp.

Thats great! I'm glad it worked out. I know Performance Motorsports spoke very highly of him & his team both on the track and in the shop.
