TMPS indicator lights in dash after 40 minutes of drive
I drove up and down to Indianapolis this weekend from Nashville, TN, so about a 700 mile round trip. After driving for about 40 minutes, the TMPS light in the dashboard lit up. The one on the multi function meter did NOT light up. I checked the individual values for tire pressure and they were all in range. Doesn't matter if the car is in cruise control or not, it lit up 3 or 4 times over the trip, each time right around 40 minutes of continuous high speed driving (60-75mph)
I have a 03' 6MT.
The PSIs were 37,37, and 38 in the rear.
One of the sensors on the rear tire is not present because the mechanics at the tire store broke it while replacing the tire, so the multifunction display just shows a -- for 1 of the rear PSIs.
Anyone else have this issue or have a fix?

the faq says that BOTH the in dash light as well as the beep/psi light in the multi function meter lights up. That does not happen in my situation, only the in dash light is on.
I have had issues with tire pressure when one of the monitored wheels had a lower tire pressure, then I got both the in dash light as well as the beep/psi light to alert me.
I have not had the TMPS sensor in place since I got new rear tires in December, will it hurt anything to continue driving without one?

the battery is dead and cannot be replaced.
It will not hurt anything to drive without them.
If you get the light and the sound, your pressure is low
if you get the light and no sound, your battery is dying.
OP, please search the forums countless databse of informational threads before starting yet another 100% common thread that someone esle will have to sort thru now when they DO use the search function.
thanks, welcome to the forum etc.

The battery life is estimated to be about 7 years. Your '03 is probably gonna see them all start failing in its not too distant future.
