Default How often does your HomeLink make the GDO flash?

The GDO lights will flash for several seconds without opening the door if the rolling code is out of synch.

My wife's Accord and my Silverado have regular transmitters, which came with the opener. Both ALWAYS work on the first try, but the HomeLink in the Z just makes it flash about 1 in 4 times. It'll always open the door on the next try, though. Is this normal?

It seems like the chances of getting out of synch would be the same for any of the transmitters, so why does it only happen with the HomeLink?

Nope, I've gone through the "learning" process several times, and it makes no difference at all. I've even tried it with different buttons on the HomeLink transmitter in the Z, and that didn't make any difference, either. All the buttons have had the same ~1 in 4 chance of being out of synch.

I also tried searching since I've had the issue as well.

I even cleared the codes and rebooted the controls. It seems if I open the door from inside the garage, then that's when it messes with the homelink in the Z.

Wow, I never considered that, and I've been using the button by the back door to open the garage door almost every morning when I take the Z out. I'll start using the Homelink instead, and see if that makes any difference.

I have mine programed for 3 years and never had a problem. Maybe your unit is bad.

not sure.

my 2009 murano works fine with homelink. maybe the older 2003 homelink device is to blame. maybe it needs a firmware update lol.

I'll just have to try again in the spring when the snow is gone. I'm hoping since I disconnected the battery that something will reset. I say that because my MO's digital compass on the homelink was stuck on N for awhile. Disconnected the battery and it's been great ever since.
