So yea this has now happened a few times. If I start to accelerate in 3/4 and really get on it(gradually of course), around 4-5k rpms, my SLIP flashes on and off a few times and the car starts acting as if im hitting redline, jerking around. The tires are not spinning as im hitting the gas down (not slamming it but defiantly going to the floor with it)but im already cruising at 40-60 mph.

I have googled and searched here and most of the issues that are posted are about tires actually spinning, again mine are not. Its very strange as its not every time, more selective then none.

Car bio, its a stock 07 350z..simple enough

225/40 18 fronts
245/40 18 rears
Guy out the on about 2k miles ago so broke in. Also never done it on a turn it's just going straight and out of no where it starts acting like that and light flashes.

Could it have anything to do with your brakes? Low pads or fluid? My SLIP light pops on when the fluid is low, but also the VDC off comes on as well so idk.

Low fluid or worn pads typically cause the Brake light or all (Brake, Slip, VDC) to come on, not just the Slip.

Intermittent Slip at speed could be anything from the computer to the wheel speed sensors.

Does it only do it when accelerating, never while cruising?

Anything else happening when this occurs, like hitting bumps? Do any suspension or brake work before it started?

 

Happens when I accelerate drastically, usually if im getting on the freeway or something like that. Ill punch it right as im getting on and hits around 4-5k rpms and start flashing the SLIP and power is getting cut which is making the car jerk around. Not happened yet while cruising though or bumps, hills.
