Question Snapped Drive Shaft

So I snapped my drive shaft at the track. First run down the track ran fine, second time snapped off the line. Anyways I ordered a new one, whats the best way about putting the new one back in.

How did it break and did you do a high rpm launch or whats up. Not sure on tips on how to put it back in..i guess how you took it out. Use a FSM that is available all over the web to help you out. Did you order OEM or aftermarket drive shaft and how do you go about making sure it does not happen again.

Yea I launched about 3300-3500. As far as putting it back in the same way I took it out is impossible due to that fact that its in 2 pieces now. The only reason why I'm asking how to put it back in there are metal or plastic caps that are over the bolts just not sure how about getting them off.

As you can see the cap its self is in there pretty good that's that where I'm getting at.

How much power are you putting down? I've launched at 5k rpm's and never had any problems. That's crazy

280 with a few bolt-ons. Just one of those days I suppose. Another question would be when I do get the new shaft, am I going to use my old piece that goes into the tranny and rear diff. Just put them in there and bolt on the new shaft?

You're looking at the universal joint, that isn't what you have to remove. Just unbolt from the rear flange on the differential, and slide it out of the trans. Installation is reverse of removal.

I got an extra oem driveshaft ill sell for cheap! As far as install, you wanna slide the yolk in first then bolt it up to the diff. 17mm wrench and socket! I'd check to see if other drivetrain piecesare fugged, because our driveshaft is insanely strong

How did you break the drive shaft with just minor bolt on's and launching at 3.5k? Crazy man sorry to hear that; but the install is easy. Slide the Yolk right in then tighten the 4 bolts on the rear to spec.

You buy an aftermarket one or an OEM one?

what year is the car and how many miles are on it?

The only thing I can thing of that might have played a roll in it would be the burnout. I had some minor wheel hopping, maybe one hop to much..?
