What amazes me is how the ROM on the ecu cant be rewritten if it gets a flash error...

Seriously, my stupid Utec was bricked by the last user when he tried to flash the EProm(his laptop bat died). Took me 5 minutes to re-flash it and fixed. Manufactures need to stop being cheap with just using Rom chips and switch to something like EProm on their boards

ok so i have a problem my ecu fried.

My Ecu is MEC60 132 A1 6405

I found one on ebay thats MEC60 132 A1 6420

Would it be compatible, and if it would, would still need to programme it?
