Default Steering!!! Help please :)

Alright changed my ac and steering belt and now my steering feels like there is no power steering at low speeds~

I recheck all and everything thing seems to be in order.

I drive the car with the steering wheel at the lowest position, when I raise the steering position it feels a little better! Seems like power steering comes back a little.

Any ideas what's going ???

Are you absolutely sure the belt is set right? Also I lose most of my power steering while doing any hpde, so...I'm actually in to see if there's something I can fix too.

Got a p1273 code. I think it has nothing to do with steering. The squeaking sound is coming from inside the cabin right behind the steering wheel

Is that the code for bank 1 lean condition? How the heck did you manage this one lol.

Did you retighten the tensioners after you put the belts back on? Not sure how mechanically inclined you are but make sure your belt tension is okay. Kinda hard to help you much over internet, have someone else take a quick look.

Could be you had air in the system and bled out. idk

also just for future reference, to check tension, take the longest part of the belt between 2 pullies and twist it, it should turn 90 degrees, if it doesnt too tight, if it goes more, too loose.
