I've recently purchased another 350z Touring for real cheap....It's an 03 w/170k miles.

Yes a great deal of the 2003-2004 Z issues (biggest example- transmission) was fixed by previous owner. I'm the 2nd owner.

I've owned several Z's and G35 Coupes, but none with this many miles. This z feels "different"...slightly clogged. Motor doesn't rev as smooth as the other z's/g35's have at lower rpm's.

At any rate it still idles excellent and the motor makes no sounds whatsoever.

Today it turned off on me for the first time. And, normally when I turn it on it turns on right away...now it's taking a while to turn over...it cranks for about 4 seconds and finally it turns on.

Few days ago I put fuel injector cleaner....and I've been putting 94 gas. I have no idea what grade the previous owner put in it...

What could be a possible issue?

 

I think it's an issue thats probably situated between the seat and the steering wheel..

 

Have you done a full diagnostic?
Plugs?Fuel pressure?Compression ? etc?

Could be a number of things

How cheap is "cheap"?

 

I'm going to aim for plugs to be changed tomorrow...

Well around $5k cheap...lol

 

5k??? did he give you any paperwork on maintenance? check the battery too

 

You get what you pay for man.

 

I admit $5k is a pretty low price, but it's not absurdly low..

There's an '05 with 140k selling in my area for just under $9k.
