Had same problem a while back. Get the car aligned. Any small out of spec in toe settings will set it off. Amazing how sensitive it is. Also..is your steering wheel straight when driving straight..or is it tilted to one side? Off center steering wheel will also set it off.

This only happens to me when I slam into those expansion joints on the freeway.

I dont think this is the case. I drove my car with 2 bent control arms and blown bushings after an accident and didnt have the lights come on. 4 degrees difference in caster, 2 degrees toe between L & R. Also drove car from home to a shop after doing my own rear mid link install. White knuckle ride to the shop, but no lights.

I know I mine was fixed with toe correction after I installed shocks. That's the only thing I did and it worked. I had second problem with off center steering wheel after I pulled column from rack (installing HFC). Centered wheel and problem solved.

Tire size is good and will not cause a VDC problem.
